Stay at Beauval Zoo by renting a flat
With a lower budget than a hotel, and if you want to stay several days in the region to visit the châteaux of the Loire in particular, renting a flat could be the solution.
You’ll find plenty of them in the area around the zoo. But be sure to read the reviews carefully before booking: some rentals are far too expensive for the services or cleanliness they offer.
Camping at Beauval Zoo
Just 10 minutes from the zoo, you’ll find the ROMANÉE – Les Cochards campsite, which offers several types of accommodation: mobile homes, tents and lodges by the week. The starting price is €280 for a week for two in a tent.
The campsite is a 4-star campsite on the banks of the Cher, with a range of facilities including a swimming pool.
Staying at Beauval Zoo in a camper van
If you’re coming to Beauval Zoo in a converted vehicle, you have two options:
In the car park
If you are self-sufficient, you can stay directly in the dedicated motorhome car parks provided by the zoo.
There are two car parks:
- One to the south, opposite the zoo’s main entrance.
- One to the north, opposite the entrance to the equatorial dome.
Whichever car park you choose, they are all car parks and offer no facilities other than toilets just outside the entrance to each car park and plenty of litter bins.
As the south car park is at the main entrance, it is often more popular and therefore more quickly full. However, the north car park is located on the edge of the vineyards and offers a pretty view when you wake up if you’re lucky.
As the car parks are free, please respect the site and do not leave rubbish on the site or empty your waste water directly onto the ground or into the toilets. It is important to respect the site so that the zoo can continue to let us sleep there free of charge for as long as we wish.

At a motorhome park
For those who are not self-sufficient or who wish to empty their grey water, there is a Camping-Car Park in Saint-Aignan, just 10 minutes from the zoo.
At the time of writing, 24 hours are €14 with electricity. Here are the GPS coordinates:

At the campsite
For those who like even more comfort, the ROMANÉE – Les Cochards campsite is also around 10 minutes from the zoo and offers pitches with or without a view of the Cher. The price for a week in a motorhome is around €180 for two people.
